Programs

Infant Program

(Birth to 18 Months; full-time spaces only)

(1:3 or 3:10 ratio)

Our Infant Programs allow for a stimulating hands on environment. We adhere to the schedule of each individual child’s needs. Parents are required to fill out a Feed Sheet which specifies the high risk allergy foods that a child should not eat before the age of one. We closely monitor these high risk allergies foods by only serving the food that the child has had at home first. Any parental request or food intolerances/sensitivities can be accommodated with a variation. Parents or caregivers are required to supply formula, breast milk, and diapers. You will be given a Daily Communication Log which specifies any important information about your child’s day. We develop a program that focuses on the stimulation of the five senses, music, and fine motor skills. The Infant Program creates the flexibility that meets your child needs to feel safe and happy while they freely learn to explore and move about the room.

Toddler Program

(18 months to 2.5 years  –  Full-Time or Part-Time spaces)

1:5 ratio

Our Toddler Programs allow for the development of healthy independence and self-exploration as toddlers begin to understand the world that surrounds them. We strive to ensure that the unique interest of the children are taken into consideration when developing programming. There is a lot of language development that is enhanced through songs, stories, imaginative play, and socialization. Fine Motor and Creative Arts are thoroughly enjoyed in the Toddler Program.

Preschool Program

(2 year to Kindergarten  –  Full-Time or Part-Time spaces)

1:8 ratio

Our Preschool Programs allow for the growth and preparation of each individual child for kindergarten. Pladec adheres to the Early Learning for every Child Today Document and the Ontario Ministry of Education Guidelines. The preschoolers develop skills in such areas such as Jolly Phonics, Wings of Discovery, and everyday problem-solving and coping techniques that enhances self-help skills. Our program allows for the flexibility of child-led activities to encourage learning through play.

School Age Program

(3.8 years to 12 years  –  Full-Time or Part-Time spaces)

1:13 ratio

Our School Age Program offered at our Pladec East Location allows for the flexibility of dropping off and picking up your child/children in one convenient trip.  The program is available for Before Care, After Care or both Before and After Care, as well as P.A. Days, School Breaks and Summer Camp. The children have the ability to complete homework, participate in quiet activities, or have fun with arts, crafts, and board games.
